Since previous editions of the book were lacking images of geological material, except for its literal illustrations, we focused on bringing shapes and images of the earth's substance to its new visual language. Adding solid blocks of stone textures and creating earth-shaped crescents, we invited readers into the chapter's texts while linking to various informational features.
